"Something wicked this way comes," tonight through November 19, as The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents William Shakespeare's brilliant psychological and political thriller Macbeth.
Powerhouse Broadway actors Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll and Hyde) and Laila Robins (Frozen) breathe new life into the doomed Macbeth and his "upwardly mobile" wife. In this chilling classic, Lady Macbeth urges her husband to murder the King of Scotland, setting the doomed noble on an unstoppable course of tyranny and bloodshed. Unbridled ambition and moral impotence lead to the destruction of an entire nation, and send the couple on a downward spiral of paranoia and madness. Director Bonnie J. Monte's bold conceptual choices emphasize the "hearts of darkness" that reside within these two characters.
Don't miss it - performances are Tuesdays through Sundays at the company's Main Stage in Madison.
